YourNest (www.yournest.in) is a pioneering sharply focused, early-stage VC fund from India with two funds active in the market. Currently, deploying from its third fund to invest in Indian startups focusing on innovative tech-led Products (IoT, AI/ML, Robotics, Cloud, Automation, etc.) and SaaS-oriented businesses who are building IPs for global markets.

Challengineer Role : Analyst- Investments & Deals

Base Location : Gurgaon

Career Stage                  : Individual Contributor

CTC  on offer                  :INR 10-16 Lakh per annum and Carry Shares

Key Relationships

Reporting to : Executive Director & Fund Manager

Direct Reports : NA

Internal : Partners l Investment Managers I Team

External : Advisory Board l Mentors 

Functional: What all you must have and what it would take to succeed in this role

• Deal Evaluation: Conduct interdisciplinary evaluation of new investment opportunities, incl. business model analysis, competitor research, and due diligence. Review and analyse business models and financial models.
• Market Research: Research and evaluate companies active in DeepTech/B2B SAS/company thesis.
• Deal Execution: Modelling and valuation of investment opportunities, analyse, propose and conduct (sourcing through closing) new Venture Capital deals to the Investment Team and subsequently to the Investment Committee, assisting in all aspects of deal execution including market and financial due diligence and executing value creation plan 
• Sourcing: Finding new startups/industries/domain to invest in and making the initial outreach review documentation and data rooms of potential targets, lead scouting and sourcing activities from the market

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Your track record would be the first qualification. Other than that, you could be: 

• An engineer from a Tier-1/Tier 2 college
• MBA from one of the leading business schools would be an add on advantage. 
• 3-5 years of work experience with technology product companies, pre sales for technology,  or in equity research dealing with technology space would be amazing.

YourNest Angel Fund: The first fund was launched in March 2012 and is now in its ninth year of operation. It has raised INR 90 cr (US$14 mn) and has fully deployed its capital across 16 companies. The fund thesis focuses on the technology-enabled sector which includes mobile, internet, cloud, software and analytics ventures. This fund has seen participation from the likes of SIDBI, IIFL and UHNIs. Further, in November 2017, the fund became the youngest ranked in Preqin's Top 10 Alternative Assets in India. The current portfolio includes Momspresso, Thriwe, CoveIoT, pCloudy, arya.ai, TWID etc., and this fund has delivered 70% DPI with two exits (Uniphore & SmartQ) in 2020.
