Job Overview

Yellow Summer is seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Academic Advisor to join our team. As an Academic Advisor, you will be responsible for providing guidance and support to students, assisting them in their academic journey. This is a mid-level position requiring 4 to 6 years of relevant experience. The role is full-time and based in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
• 4 to 6 years of experience in academic advising or a related role
• Strong knowledge of academic program requirements and course selection
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to build rapport and establish trust with students
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficiency in using technology for academic advising purposes
• Experience working with diverse student populations is a plus

Roles and Responsibilities

• Advise students on academic programs, course selection, and degree requirements
• Assist students in planning their academic schedules and selecting appropriate courses each semester
• Provide guidance on academic policies, procedures, and regulations
• Assess students' academic progress and identify areas for improvement
• Offer support and resources to help students overcome academic challenges
• Collaborate with faculty members and other academic advisors to develop strategies for student success
• Stay updated on academic program changes and communicate updates to students
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student interactions and academic plans
• Conduct outreach activities to promote academic advising services
• Participate in professional development activities to enhance advising skills and knowledge
