We are seeking a knowledgeable and dedicated Science Tutor to provide high-quality, remote instruction for students in the US K-12 curriculum. This role requires a strong background in science education, the ability to make complex topics accessible, and a flexible schedule to accommodate US time zones. Responsibilities:

• Conduct tutoring sessions for K-12 students in various scientific disciplines (biology, chemistry, physics, etc.) aligned with US curriculum standards.
• Simplify complex scientific concepts for students, tailoring explanations to individual learning needs.
• Provide engaging, interactive lessons that support both theoretical knowledge and practical applications of science.
• Develop lesson plans, assignments, and experiments that cater to individual student learning goals.
• Monitor and assess student progress, offering constructive feedback and strategies for improvement.
• Foster an encouraging, interactive online learning environment.
• Collaborate with parents, guardians, or supervisors to discuss student progress and address any concerns.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Education, or a related field (required); teaching certification is a plus.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience teaching or tutoring science subjects within the US K-12 curriculum.
• Strong understanding of US science curriculum standards and guidelines.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain scientific concepts clearly.
• Proficiency in virtual teaching tools and platforms (Zoom, Google Meet, etc.).
• Availability to work during US time zones.
• Reliable internet connection, computer, and PenTab or similar device for online instruction.

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with Common Core standards or AP-level science content.
• Experience preparing students for standardized science exams.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills to effectively plan and deliver engaging lessons.
