Job Title: Mechanical Draftsman

Experience : 4 to 10 years

Location : Katraj, Pune

Key Responsibilities:

1.   Interpretation of technical specifications, sketches, and rough drawings to create detailed mechanical drawings.

2.   Collaborate with engineers and designers to understand project requirements and constraints.

3.   Develop 2D and 3D models of mechanical components, assemblies, and systems.

4.   Generate layouts, assembly drawings, part lists, and bill of materials (BOM).

5.   Ensure that drawings adhere to relevant standards, codes, and regulations.

6.   Conduct design reviews and make necessary revisions based on feedback and requirements.

7.   Assist in the preparation of technical documentation and reports.

8.   Coordinate with other departments such as manufacturing, quality assurance, and procurement to support production activities.

9.   Maintain organized files and documentation for easy access and retrieval.

10. Stay updated with the latest CAD software and technologies to improve efficiency and productivity.

Skills and Qualifications:

1.   Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar tools.

2.   Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and technical drawing standards.

3.   Attention to detail and accuracy in creating complex mechanical drawings.

4.   Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate ideas clearly.

5.   Problem-solving skills to resolve design issues and challenges.

6.   Time management skills to meet project deadlines and priorities.

7.   Knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials.

8.   Experience in drafting for various industries such as manufacturing, construction, or engineering consultancy is preferred.

9.   A diploma or degree in mechanical engineering, drafting, or a related field.

10. Previous experience in a similar role would be advantageous.
