Job Description:

1. Install, configure, and maintain Sybase database software and related tools.
2. Perform database upgrades, patches, and migrations as required.
3. Monitor database performance and proactively identify and resolve performance issues.
4. Implement and maintain database security measures to protect sensitive data.
5. Backup and restore databases to ensure data integrity and availability.
6. Develop and implement disaster recovery plans and procedures.
7. Collaborate with developers, system administrators, and other stakeholders to optimize database performance and ensure smooth operations.
8. Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to end-users.
9. Document database configurations, processes, and procedures.
10. Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices in database administration.

Qualification :

1. In-depth knowledge of Sybase ASE (Adaptive Server Enterprise) database management.
2. Strong proficiency in SQL programming and scripting languages (e.g., Shell, Python).
3. Experience with database performance tuning and optimization techniques.
4. Familiarity with database security best practices and regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
