Job Overview
We are seeking a Mid-Level Purchasing Engineer to join our team in Pimpri-Chinchwad. This full-time position requires a professional with a minimum of 4 years and a maximum of 6 years of relevant work experience. The Purchasing Engineer will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of our supply chain operations, contributing to our continued growth and success in the HVAC industry.

- Proven expertise in supply chain management to streamline purchasing processes and optimize inventory levels.
- Strong negotiation skills to secure favorable terms with vendors and suppliers, driving cost savings for the company.
- Proficient in vendor management, ensuring mutually beneficial relationships and evaluating supplier performance regularly.
- Ability to conduct cost analysis and budgeting to identify cost-effective purchasing strategies and mitigate financial risks.
- Experience in inventory management, including forecasting, stock replenishment, and minimizing excess or shortage issues.
- Solid technical knowledge relevant to the HVAC industry, enabling effective assessment and selection of components and materials.
- Excellent communication skills for clear and effective interaction with suppliers, colleagues, and cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical skills to assess procurement data, generate actionable insights, and support decision-making improvements.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage procurement activities to ensure timely and cost-effective purchase of materials and equipment.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, ensuring reliable supply chain operations and quality compliance.
- Analyze market trends and data to identify potential opportunities for cost reduction and supply chain optimization.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to achieve favorable agreements that align with company objectives.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the warehouse team to ensure adequate stock levels without overburdening storage.
- Collaborate with engineering and project teams to understand technical specifications and ensure procurement meets project needs.
- Continuously evaluate and improve procurement processes to enhance efficiency and responsiveness in supporting business demands.
- Prepare and present regular reports on procurement activities, supplier performance, and cost-saving achievements to management.
