Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic procurement plans to meet the company's pharmaceutical needs.
- Source and evaluate potential suppliers/vendors, negotiate contracts, and establish favorable terms and conditions.
- Monitor market trends, pricing, and availability of pharmaceutical products to make informed purchasing decisions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including quality assurance, production, and logistics, to ensure seamless procurement processes.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and inventory levels, utilizing procurement software and systems.
- Conduct supplier performance evaluations and address any issues or discrepancies to maintain high standards of quality and service.
- Manage relationships with key suppliers, fostering long-term partnerships and resolving conflicts effectively.
- Stay updated on industry regulations, compliance standards, and best practices related to pharmaceutical procurement.
- Optimize procurement processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and minimize supply chain risks.
- Prepare reports and presentations for senior management, highlighting procurement metrics, cost savings, and supply chain performance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical procurement, with a strong understanding of pharmaceutical products, suppliers, and regulatory requirements.
- Proven track record of successfully managing procurement processes and negotiating contracts in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), FDA regulations, and other relevant industry standards.
- Certification in procurement or supply chain management (e.g., CSCP, CPSM) is a plus.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to travel as needed and work outside regular business hours when required.
