We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Purchase Executive with a background in the pharmaceutical industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing procurement activities, ensuring the timely availability of materials, and maintaining cost-effective inventory levels while adhering to quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Procurement Management:
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers based on quality, pricing, and delivery capabilities.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers to secure advantageous terms.
- Issue purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Inventory Control:
- Monitor inventory levels and forecast requirements to prevent shortages or excess stock.
- Coordinate with warehouse and production teams to manage inventory effectively.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Supplier Relationship Management:
- Maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers and develop new supplier partnerships.
- Evaluate supplier performance and implement improvements to ensure high-quality supplies.
- Resolve any issues or discrepancies with suppliers promptly.
- Compliance and Quality Assurance:
- Ensure all procured materials comply with regulatory and quality standards.
- Collaborate with the quality assurance team to manage supplier audits and quality checks.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all procurement activities.
- Cost Management:
- Monitor market trends and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Implement strategies to reduce procurement costs without compromising quality.
- Prepare and analyze procurement reports to track spending and identify areas for improvement.
- Coordination and Communication:
- Work closely with the production, quality control, and finance teams to align procurement activities with company objectives.
- Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to understand and meet their material requirements.
- Provide regular updates on procurement status and any potential issues.
