Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled General Manager Purchasing to join our team in Ahmedabad. This senior-level, full-time position requires a minimum of 7 years to a maximum of 10 years of relevant work experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all purchasing operations, including strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management, and contract negotiations.


Qualifications and Skills

  • Extensive experience in strategic sourcing to identify and select suppliers that meet the company's needs.
  • Strong supplier relationship management skills to maintain and improve supplier performance.
  • Proven negotiation skills to secure favorable terms and agreements with suppliers.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of supply chain management to optimize procurement processes.
  • Ability to implement cost reduction techniques to achieve financial savings.
  • Effective contract management skills to ensure compliance and manage risk.
  • Proficiency in inventory management to maintain appropriate stock levels.
  • Ability to conduct market analysis to stay informed about industry trends and pricing.


Roles and Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services.
  • Lead and mentor the purchasing team to improve efficiency and performance.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key suppliers to ensure quality and reliability.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure the best terms and conditions for the company.
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels to avoid shortages or overstock situations.
  • Conduct regular market analysis to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements in all purchasing activities.
  • Prepare and present reports to senior management on procurement performance and initiatives.
