An Admission Counselor is responsible for guiding and assisting prospective students in the college or university admission process. Their main duties include:
- Providing information about the institution and its programs to prospective students and their families
- Evaluating applications and making admission decisions based on academic credentials, test scores, and other criteria
- Advising students on the admission process, including application requirements, deadlines, and financial aid opportunities
- Conducting campus tours, open houses, and other recruitment events to attract potential students
- Developing and maintaining relationships with high school counselors and other influencers to promote the institution and its programs
- Assisting with marketing and promotional materials to attract prospective students
- Maintaining accurate records and data on prospective and admitted students for reporting and analysis purposes
- Providing exceptional customer service to students and their families throughout the admission process.
