Job Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Purchasing Manager (Domestic). In this role, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing the company's domestic purchasing activities, ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement of aluminium raw materials and supplies from all over India.
Qualifications and Skills
- Junior: 1 to 3 years of experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably in the metal manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of domestic procurement processes and practices.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills to effectively collaborate with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Ability to analyze market trends and pricing to make informed purchasing decisions.
- Solid understanding of inventory management and supply chain principles.
- Proficiency in using purchasing software and tools.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple procurement activities.
- Ability to work independently and handle pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred
- Confident in cold calling and be flexible to travel if needed
Roles and Responsibilities
- Develop and implement purchasing strategies and policies to meet the company's objectives.
- Source and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, and establish strong relationships with key vendors.
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely replenishment to avoid stockouts.
- Collaborate with the production team to understand their material requirements and ensure timely delivery.
- Manage the procurement process, including issuing purchase orders, tracking shipments, and resolving any issues that may arise.
- Analyze market trends and pricing to identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and delivery information.
- Conduct regular supplier performance evaluations and drive continuous improvement in supplier quality and delivery performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance and operations, to optimize procurement processes and drive efficiency.
- Stay updated with industry trends and developments to ensure the company remains competitive in the market
