Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Cosmetic Formulator to join our team at Vilvah Store Private Limited. As a Cosmetic Formulator, you will be responsible for developing, formulating, and improving our range of skincare products. This is position requires 1 to 3 years of experience in cosmetic formulation. The job is full-time and based in Coimbatore.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor's/Master's degree in Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, Pharmaceutical Science, or a related field.
• 1-3 years of experience in cosmetic formulation, preferably in the skincare industry.
• Proven knowledge of cosmetic ingredients, their functions, and their interactions.
• Strong understanding of formulation techniques, stability testing, and product scale-up.
• Experience in developing natural and organic skincare products is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with regulations and requirements of cosmetic product safety and labelling.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate formulation records.
• Proficient in using formulation software and tools.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team. 

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Formulate and develop skincare products, including creams, lotions, serums, and balms.
• Conduct research on new ingredients, technologies, and market trends to optimize product formulations.
• Create and maintain formulation records, including ingredient lists, specifications, and manufacturing instructions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Quality Assurance, and Manufacturing, to ensure product quality and compliance.
• Optimize existing formulas to improve product performance, stability, and cost-efficiency.
• Source and evaluate new raw materials to ensure high-quality standards.
• Work closely with suppliers and vendors to secure new ingredients.
• Maintain accurate documentation of formulations, testing protocols, and material specifications.
• Adhere to regulatory guidelines and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
• Stay updated with emerging trends, scientific advancements, and innovations in cosmetic formulation.
• Provide technical support and guidance to junior formulators and production teams.
