Job Summary:

The Engineering Manager will guide and manage a team of engineering resources / cluster leads in the development and implementation of cutting-edge technologies and products. This role involves resource allocation, and technical oversight, ensuring that engineering projects align with the company’s/customer’s goals and standards. This person will be working in Retail Industry with knowledge on Merchandizing, Planning, Retail operations, Allocation, Raw material handling, Digital, Retail Tech et al.

Key Responsibilities:

Team building and Development:

• Lead, mentor, and develop engineering teams, promoting a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Conduct regular performance reviews, providing feedback and identifying growth opportunities for team members.

Project Management:

• Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of engineering projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements, scope, and timelines.

Technical Oversight:

• Provide technical guidance and support to engineering teams, ensuring the implementation of best practices and high-quality standards.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies, integrating relevant advancements into project strategies.

Resource Management:

• Allocate resources effectively, managing budgets and ensuring optimal utilization of personnel and equipment.
• Identify and address any resource constraints or bottlenecks that may impact project delivery.

Stakeholder Communication:

• Communicate project status, challenges, and outcomes to senior management and other stakeholders.
• Foster strong relationships with internal and external partners, ensuring alignment and support for engineering initiatives.

Quality Assurance:

• Ensure that all engineering activities comply with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
• Implement robust quality control processes to maintain high standards of product and service delivery.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Proven experience in an engineering managerial role, with a track record of managing and delivering complex projects.
• Strong technical background with expertise in relevant engineering disciplines.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to think strategically and make data-driven decisions.
