Role Summary:

As the Head of Engineering, you will lead our engineering team, driving technical projects and providing leadership in an innovative and fast-paced environment. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee the development and optimization of our Java-based applications on AWS.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and mentor a team of software engineers across the backend and frontend to build the identity products end-to-end.
• Oversee the design, development, and deployment of scalable APIs on the AWS infrastructure that can scale seamlessly for business needs.
• Ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions, holding a very high bar for quality, scalable, and reusable code components across the entire technology stack.
• Manage the department's budget, including resource allocation for projects, personnel, and technology.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the team.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align engineering developments with company goals.
• Drive innovation and efficiency in our engineering processes.

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience in Software Development
• Proficient in Java (J2 EE framework) with 10+ years of experience and 3+ years of experience in AWS infrastructure.
• 5+ years of Tech Lead/Manager experience.
• Experience working in a startup environment with the ability to adapt quickly to the business needs and execute the company goals in an agile manner.
• Proven leadership skills in managing and growing engineering teams for a remote company.
• Bachelor's or an equivalent degree in Computer Science or a related field from Tier 1, Tier 2 Institutes, or 90th+ percentile candidates from Tier 3
• Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies and software engineering best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and team collaboration skills.
