VERDANT is looking for a dynamic Human Resources Assistant to join our team in Chennai or Sriperumbudur. This full-time position is ideal for freshers eager to dive into the HR field, requiring 0-1 years of experience. You'll be involved in various HR functions, from recruitment to employee relations, playing a vital role in our consultancy's operations.
Qualifications and Skills
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with candidates and team members.
- Proven skills or training in recruitment processes and talent acquisition techniques.
- Experience or knowledge in employee onboarding activities ensuring smooth assimilation.
- Familiarity with HRIS management for maintaining employee records and data accuracy.
- Understanding of benefits administration to assist in employee queries and management.
- Ability to handle employee relations with professionalism and confidentiality.
- Basic knowledge of compliance standards to ensure HR policies align with legal requirements.
- Hands-on experience or understanding of payroll procedures for accurate employee compensation.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Assist in the recruitment process by sourcing candidates, conducting interviews, and maintaining records.
- Support new hires through the onboarding process, ensuring they have the necessary resources.
- Maintain and update employee records in the HRIS with accuracy and confidentiality.
- Provide administrative support in benefits administration and answer employee queries.
- Help in the preparation and administration of payroll ensuring timely and accurate distribution.
- Coordinate employee relations activities including handling employee concerns and resolving issues.
- Ensure company HR policies comply with labor laws and ethical standards.
- Collaborate with the HR team to develop strategies for talent management and retention.
