Job Summary:
We seek an enthusiastic and technically savvy IT Pre-Sales Consultant with 2-5 years of experience to join our growing sales team. In this role, you will assist in the technical aspects of the sales process, working closely with the sales team to understand client needs, create tailored IT solutions, and deliver compelling presentations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Technical Learning and Development:
- Acquire a solid understanding of the company’s IT products, services, and solutions, including software, hardware, networking, and cloud technologies.
- Participate in internal training programs to enhance your technical knowledge and pre-sales skills.
- Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor offerings.
2. Sales Support:
- Assist the sales team in preparing and delivering technical presentations, product demonstrations, and solution proposals.
- Work with senior Pre-Sales Consultants to identify customer needs and propose appropriate IT solutions.
- Contribute to the development of RFPs (Request for Proposals) and RFIs (Requests for Information) with technical input.
3. Customer Interaction:
- Participate in meetings and discussions with potential clients to understand their IT requirements.
- Help answer technical questions from clients and address basic concerns during the sales process.
- Gather and document detailed customer requirements to support solution design and proposal development.
4. Collaboration:
- Collaborate with product management, engineering, and support teams to ensure alignment between proposed solutions and product capabilities.
- Provide feedback to internal teams based on client interactions to help refine product offerings and strategies.
- Support the creation of technical sales collateral, such as case studies, white papers, and technical brochures.
5. Continuous Improvement:
- Actively seek opportunities to improve your technical and sales skills through ongoing learning and professional development.
- Contribute to the improvement of internal processes and tools to enhance the pre-sales function.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 2-5 years of experience in a technical role, IT sales support, or a related customer-facing position (internships, coursework, or relevant project experience are acceptable).
- Basic IT concepts, including networking, cloud computing, software applications, and cybersecurity.
- Strong interest in technology and the ability to quickly learn new IT products and solutions.
- Good communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Exposure to IT sales processes, CRM tools, or cloud platforms (through internships, coursework, or certifications).
- Familiarity with IT infrastructure, software development, or systems integration.
- Willingness to occasionally travel for client meetings and presentations.
