Job Title: Calling Collection Associate

Location: Mathikere Bangalore

Department: Collections

Reports To: Collections Manager

Job Type: Full-Time / Part-Time

Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Calling Collection Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and collecting outstanding debts from customers, ensuring timely payments while maintaining a professional and empathetic approach. This role requires excellent communication skills, strong problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to achieving collection targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contact Customers: Reach out to customers via phone, email, or mail to collect overdue payments on accounts.
  • Negotiate Payment Plans: Discuss and negotiate repayment plans with customers who are unable to pay their debts in full.
  • Update Records: Accurately document all interactions with customers and update account information in the system.
  • Resolve Disputes: Address and resolve any issues or disputes raised by customers regarding their accounts or payments.
  • Follow-Up: Conduct follow-up calls and communications as necessary to ensure payment arrangements are adhered to.
  • Maintain Records: Keep detailed and accurate records of all collection activities, including payment agreements and customer communications.
  • Compliance: Adhere to all company policies and legal regulations related to debt collection practices.
  • Performance Targets: Meet or exceed performance targets and goals set by the Collections Manager.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Previous experience in a collections, customer service, or related role is preferred.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to handle difficult conversations professionally.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to negotiate effectively.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in documenting and managing accounts.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with collections software or CRM systems is a plus.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework or a degree in business or finance is a plus.
  • Personal Attributes: Empathetic, patient, and resilient with a positive attitude towards achieving targets.
