- Coordinating with the development team, business analysts and the product owner to get an in-depth understanding of the application and learn the testing requirements
- Going through the application requirements and design documents, and coordinating with test analysts to prepare strategies, including functional, system, integration, user acceptance and performance testing
- Selecting test cases, scenarios and scripts for comprehensive testing
- Preparing the test data and ensuring its availability, integrity and relevance
- Setting up and configuring test environments, including software installations, hardware configurations and network setups
- Using test automation frameworks to save time, improve coverage and reduce manual errors
- Analysing the results and evaluating the quality of software using different metrics, such as test efficiency, automation coverage and pass rate
- Collaborating with the testing and development team to ensure the effectiveness of tests
- Creating and maintaining documentation, including test plans, cases, scripts and reports
