Job Description – Business Development Manager

Job Brief

Driving business growth and develop a network of contacts to attract new clients, research new market opportunities and oversee growth projects, making sales projections and forecasting revenue, in line with projected income

MBA or Any Post Graduate/Graduate with relevant experience

Experience

Responsibilities:-

·        Market research, positioning, prospecting and identifying appropriate business development plans.

·        Customer database: Development and Analysis.

·        Maintain excellent public relations with external customers and interact with internal customers to ensure the delivery of the promised services to the customers.

·         To react on expansion and growth plans in response to market dynamics.

·        Promotion of company and allied services in the market (local, non local) to ensure respectable share of the business.

·        Promotional activities of the company services thorough out the country in alliance with other like-minded corporate and related groups. Networking with various business.

·        Consultants’ alliance and tie-ups: Continuous follow up meeting their expectations. Continuous communication network.

·        Tie up arrangements with corporate houses and promotion of insurance linked business units/public sectors.

·        Preparation of targets and ensuring the compliance through the B.D. team.

·        On the job training for the entire business development team sharing the changing expectations of the customers and to be the number one.

·        Effective maintenance of corporate recovery cell.

·        Increase in business volume. Monthly, Quarterly and yearly comparisons.

·        Periodical Review of the targets and move upward from time to time.

·        Product awareness and promotional activities like conducting camps, programmers etc., Advertising activities and good press relations.

·        Customers’ get-togethers. Goodwill generation exercises. Emphasis on efforts to create brand equity

·        Designing, planning, organizing and executing the job assigned and areas allocated for effective marketing of the company services, facilities and modern technology to the customers and companies

·        Stabilize good and meaningful relationship with customers, Companies

·        Responsible for territory management & target setting and marking for certain assigned areas / market feedback.

·        Responsible for designing programs in respective areas in Co-ordination with Management.

·        Responsible for advertising publicity and promotion of the programs in the assigned areas.

·        Co-ordinate with all other support services for any of the programmers

·        Assist the executives as and when required.

·        Responsible for direct mailers in his area

·        Ensure profitability and economic coverage of the area assigned.

·        Undergo induction / training conducted by the Manager – Business Development

·        Update the Companies and customers’ list from time to time.

·        Collect market information and devise suitable strategies to improve the performance.

·        Update and keep abreast with the latest knowledge related to the job.

·        Create a network base for the implementation of program’s / Mailers

·        Periodic database updation.

·        Designing & forwarding new packages & after approval promoting and marketing the same.

·        Select the market, area and target the programs for it.

·        Act as a channel between company and user community.

·        Keep track about the market competitors and technology

·        Carry out staff functions for the Business Development department.

·        Promote public relations with VIP’s and dignitaries visiting the company.

·        Order printing material for marketing such as introductory brochures, service directory, tariff list, etc.

·        Establish inter company co-ordination and communication with all departments and get information, collect data and also feedback the market analysis to the departments.

·        Take charge of photographs, videography at different company functions & occasions. To develop record and store the same.

·         Ensure that the functioning is smooth and cordial in the department. And any other jobs assigned by the superiors as per exigencies of work.

·        Highlights daily important schedules on whiteboard in Business Development Office.

·        Gives Company census, Corporate Occupancy and Split details to the Director.

·         Prepares monthly report giving details about the number of companies from which Executive’s area and the out of them how many have come voluntarily without any references.

·        Maintains one file per corporate.

·        Fixes up appointments and reminds the prioritized events to the Director.

·        Bifurcates between the target and achievements and gives the details to the Director.

·         Gives the targets given by the Director to the Executives.

·        Co-ordinates Quarterly Review Meetings and Area Wise Meetings.

·        Collects work plans from Executives everyday and checks the next day if the daily report and the previous days Work plan are matching or not and reports the same to Directors

·        Prepares a Consolidated report of the Monthly tour programs.

·        Collects Tour advance Vouchers from the Directors, Cashes it up at Accounts department and gives it to the Executives.

·        Collects Tour expenses details from the Executives and submits them in the Finance & Accounts department.

·         Looks after the invitations and brochures printing for Camps and Meetings.

·        Collects the attendance particulars of outstation Executives and submits them in the Human Resources department.
