Job Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Electrician/Technician with at least 3 years of hands-on experience in installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electrical safety standards, troubleshooting skills, and experience working with a variety of electrical systems in both residential and commercial environments. This role involves working independently and as part of a team to ensure the smooth operation of electrical installations and systems.

Key Responsibilities:

1.Electrical Installation and Maintenance:

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, wiring, outlets, switches, circuit breakers, and other electrical components in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
• Ensure that all electrical installations comply with relevant codes, standards, and safety regulations.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, including checking systems for wear and tear, replacing faulty components, and upgrading systems as needed.

2.Troubleshooting and Diagnostics:

• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical problems in systems, equipment, and circuits, using diagnostic tools and techniques such as multimeters, insulation resistance testers, and circuit testers.
• Repair or replace faulty electrical components and wiring, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption.

3.System Testing and Quality Assurance:

• Conduct tests on electrical systems, circuits, and equipment to ensure proper functionality and safety.
• Ensure that electrical systems meet required performance standards and safety regulations before commissioning or re-commissioning.

4.Blueprint and Schematic Interpretation:

• Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to understand system layouts and to plan installations and repairs.
• Use blueprints and schematics to identify issues and implement effective solutions.

5.Safety Compliance:

• Adhere to all safety standards, electrical codes, and company procedures while working with electrical systems.
• Follow lockout/tagout procedures and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) to ensure a safe working environment.
• Conduct safety checks and provide guidance on safe work practices to less experienced team members.

7.Customer Service and Communication:

• Communicate effectively with customers to understand their needs and explain electrical issues, solutions, and procedures.
• Provide excellent customer service, ensuring that all work is performed to the highest standards and that clients are satisfied with the results.

8.Preventive Maintenance:

• Perform regular inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical systems to avoid unexpected failures and reduce downtime.
• Recommend upgrades or modifications to improve system performance, efficiency, and safety.

9.Documentation and Reporting:

• Maintain accurate records of work performed, including details of repairs, installations, inspections, and any components replaced.
• Provide detailed reports to supervisors or management on work completed, safety checks, and potential issues or concerns.

10.Team Collaboration and Supervision (if applicable):

• Work closely with other technicians, electricians, and contractors to complete large or complex electrical projects.
• Assist in training junior technicians or apprentices, sharing knowledge and best practices.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of electrical systems, wiring, schematics, and electrical codes. Experience with low and high-voltage systems, motors, and control systems is a plus.
• Safety Compliance: Knowledge of electrical safety standards, regulations, and practices, including lockout/tagout procedures and the use of PPE.
• Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues and solutions to customers clearly and effectively.
• Time Management: Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
