Position: Senior Data Engineer (ETL developer)

Locations: Pune, Hyderabad

What You Bring:

• 4-7 years of experience in ETL/SSIS development, data engineering, or a similar role
• Proficient in ETL processes using SSIS or comparable tools
• Extensive experience in building robust data pipelines
• Understanding of data modelling and data warehousing principles
• Familiarity with BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, SAP, OBIEE)
• Preferred knowledge of Big Data technologies and cloud programming (any platform)
• Basic programming skills in Python or Java are a plus
• Proven ability to write SQL queries and PL/SQL/T-SQL for data retrieval and modification

·        Skilled in troubleshooting potential issues and experience with best practices around database operations

• Eagerness to learn new tools and technologies and adapt to a rapidly changing tech landscape

Your Role:

As a Senior Data Engineer, you will:

• Design, build, test, and maintain data pipelines to acquire, profile, explore, cleanse, consolidate, transform, and integrate data effectively.
• Develop and implement ETL processes for the data warehouse lifecycle, including data staging, operational data stores (ODS), integration, and data marts, while ensuring data security through archival and obfuscation methods.
• Create and optimize complex SQL queries for large datasets, fine-tuning performance as necessary.
• Write advanced PL/SQL and T-SQL programs tailored to specific requirements.
• Maintain and enhance ETL packages and supporting data objects to support our expanding BI infrastructure.
• Establish efficient and reliable data pipelines that enable data-driven decision-making across the organization.
• Monitor, tune, and analyse database performance to ensure optimal operation.
• Actively engage with both the physical processing and storage aspects of data.
• Participate in the initial exploration and analysis of data characteristics to inform downstream processes.
• Collaborate with other technical professionals, including BI report developers, data analysts, and architects.
