Position: Senior Data Engineer (BI Developer)

Locations: Pune, Hyderabad

Experience Level: 4 – 7 years

What You Bring:

• 4-7 years of experience as a BI Developer across various BI tools
• Strong proficiency in data visualization and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, SAP)
• Experience in designing and developing data models for BI applications
• Extensive knowledge of SQL for data retrieval, transformation, and analysis
• Familiarity with ETL processes and experience with ETL tools (e.g., SSIS, Talend)
• Understanding of data warehousing concepts and best practices
• Preferred knowledge of cloud-based BI solutions
• Basic programming skills in Python or Java are a plus
• Ability to troubleshoot BI-related issues and implement best practices in reporting and data visualization

Your Role:

As a Senior Data Engineer, you will:

• Design, develop, test, and maintain robust BI solutions that empower data-driven decision-making across the organization
• Create and optimize data models specifically tailored for BI applications, ensuring data is structured for efficient analysis and reporting
• Develop interactive dashboards and reports using BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, SAP) to visualize data insights and trends
• Collaborate in the design and architecture of data warehouses and data marts to ensure they effectively support BI initiatives
• Implement ETL processes for seamless data integration into data warehouses and data marts, facilitating accurate reporting
• Write, test, and optimize complex SQL queries to extract and manipulate data, supporting various reporting requirements
• Analyse data sources and characteristics to ensure the integrity and quality of BI outputs
• Monitor and tune BI performance to ensure that dashboards and reports load quickly and provide real-time insights
• Engage with the physical processing and storage aspects of data, ensuring optimal performance of BI applications
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, database developers, and data analysts, to align BI solutions with business needs
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders to gather requirements, present findings, and ensure clarity on BI initiatives
