Hiring for Accountant for an Indian Jewellery Brand for International Branch location !!


Job location: Dubai/Hong Kong

Gender: Male preferred

Qualification: Graduate or Semi CA qualified

Key role and responsibility:

As the Accountant, you will play a crucial role in managing the financial activities of the company, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficient financial operations. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in accounting, experience in the jewelry or luxury goods industry is a plus.

Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting:
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Generate financial reports for management, providing insights into the company's financial performance.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting:
  • Assist in the development of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Monitor budget variances and provide recommendations to achieve financial goals.
  • Cash Management:
  • Manage and monitor cash flow, ensuring adequate funds for daily operations.
  • Prepare cash flow projections and recommend strategies for optimizing cash resources.
  • Accounts Payable and Receivable:
  • Oversee the accounts payable and receivable processes.
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of vendor payments and customer invoices.
  • Inventory Management:
  • Collaborate with relevant departments to track and reconcile inventory.
  • Perform periodic inventory valuations and assess inventory turnover.
  • Financial Analysis:
  • Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks.
  • Provide insightful financial information to support strategic decision-making.
  • Expense Management:
  • Monitor and control expenses to align with budgetary constraints.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements.
  • Ad hoc Financial Projects:
  • Participate in special financial projects as assigned by management.
  • Contribute to process improvements to enhance overall financial operations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or equivalent certification is a plus.
  • Proven experience as an accountant, preferably in the luxury goods or jewelry industry is desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and taxation.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
  • Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and compliance is advantageous.
