Roles and Responsibilities

•                    Design and development of SPMs, Winding machines & jigs/fixtures

•                    Hands-on CAD modelling experience in Solidworks or SolidEdge

•                    Understanding the new process, automation requirements in detail

•                    Preparation of general arrangement, sub-assemblies, bill of material, Hydraulic &pneumatic circuits.

•                    Preparation of individual part detail drawings, material selection, heat treatment selection etc

•                    Cost estimation, manufacturing, inspection, trails & commissioning of machine/tooling.

•                    Must handle people of skilled manufacturing, mechanical & electrical design staff

•                    DAP review with customer

•                    Must communicate to suppliers to settle techno commercial offers

•                    Manage drawing revision control & change management in CAD system as well as on manufacturing shop floor

•                    Prepare Machine BOM

•                    Design review Kickoff meeting with manufacturing & electrical design staff

•                    Closely work with design engineers & electrical design team to meet new machines launch timelines

•                    Designing of Hydraulic & Pneumatic circuits

Desired Candidate Profile

•                    Hands on experience required in SPM machine design in Solid works, machine assembly, In-house trials & validations of machines & installation & commissioning at customer's site

•                    Implement GD&T in making drawings as per fit & function of components used in design.

•                    Pneumatic systems like cylinders, pressure switches, pressure regulators, RL units etc

•                    Basic knowledge of sensing technologies line proximity, laser, photo sensor, LVDT, color sensors, micro switches, reed switches etc.

•                    Rotary motion technology like electrical motor, stepper motors & servo motors, gearboxes, pulleys, sprockets, keys & keyways, timer belts etc.

•                    Linear motion technologies line LM guide rails & blocks, Linear bearings & bushes, Ball screws & lead screws, shaft couplings etc.

•                    Should have control over drawing change management system and effective communication with manufacturing staff in case of any changes.

•                    Hands on experience in Trouble shooting of Machines in-house as well as at customer's site
