Job Description:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Architect to join our Project Management Consultancy (PMC) team. The ideal candidate will support senior architects and project managers in the planning, design, and execution phases of large-scale infrastructure and redevelopment projects. The role involves working closely with various stakeholders, ensuring that architectural designs align with the project’s goals, timelines, and regulatory requirements.

A key requirement is a working knowledge of the Development Control and Promotion Regulations (DCPR 2034), ensuring compliance with zoning, FSI, and other regulations critical for urban development in [Insert Region/City].

The Junior Architect will also play a role in communicating with co-operative housing societies and assisting in the tendering process for project management consultancy services.

Key Responsibilities:

-     Assist in the preparation and review of architectural designs, drawings, and specifications.

-     Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other consultants to ensure the architectural elements are integrated into the overall project plan.

-     Prepare project documentation, including site layouts, floor plans, sections, elevations, and construction details.

-     Conduct site visits to assess the progress of construction, ensuring adherence to the design intent and quality standards.

-     Ensure designs comply with the DCPR 2034 regulations, including FSI, open spaces, height restrictions, and other zoning laws.

-     Communicate and coordinate with co-operative housing societies to understand their needs, ensure project alignment, and address concerns.

-     Assist in the preparation and review of tenders, ensuring that architectural inputs are accurately represented in tender documents.

-     Assist in preparing feasibility reports and architectural presentations for clients and stakeholders.

-     Help in researching materials, construction techniques, and building codes for compliance with local regulations, especially DCPR 2034.

-     Support in preparing schedules and coordinating meetings with contractors, vendors, and consultants.

-     Work closely with senior architects in resolving any design or technical issues that arise during the project.

-     Stay up-to-date with the latest architectural trends, technologies, and software.

 Qualifications and Skills:

-     Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or related field from a recognized university.

-     Experience: 0-2 years of experience in architecture or related fields (fresh graduates are encouraged to apply).

-     Knowledge: Thorough understanding of the Development Control and Promotion Regulations (DCPR 2034) is essential. Basic understanding of building codes, construction processes, and project management principles.

-     Software Proficiency: Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, and other architectural design software. Familiarity with project management software is a plus.

-     Skills: Excellent technical drawing skills, attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and strong organizational skills.

-     Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with co-operative housing societies and other stakeholders.

-     Attention to Detail: Ability to ensure design accuracy and compliance with project requirements, especially DCPR 2034.

-     Tendering Process: Understanding of the tender preparation and submission process.

-     Adaptability: Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
