Business Development Manager responsibilities include developing short and long-term key growth sales strategies, tactics and action plans. Successful execution of these strategies is required to achieve Organization’s financial targets. Sales Manager duties will include meeting annual targets, building relationships and understanding customer trends.
This role specifically focuses on generating business from New Customer Accounts in Banks, Small Finance Banks, NBFCs and MFIs. Experience in banking software sales to Small Finance Banks/ NBFCs/ MFIs/ BFSIs is highly desirable
Responsibilities:
· Sells products and services and develops new account relationships India and South East Asia
· Initiates contact with prospective customers to sell targeted Organization’s products and services
· Solicits and maintains network of prospects.
· Develop and execute strategic plan to achieve sales targets and expand Organization’s customer base
· Demonstrates product knowledge including various solutions, markets and competitive intelligence
· Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships
· Partner with customers to understand their business needs and objectives
· Effectively communicate the value proposition through product demos, presentations and business proposals
· Understand “lending” specific landscapes and market trends
· Negotiates, structures and closes deals that meet customer expectations and Organization’s ability to deliver; utilizes appropriate company resources per the plan to provide product marketing support or specialized product sales expertise
· Create and manage a partner network to effectively drive the sales
· Other related duties assigned as needed
Skills and Competencies:
· Good understanding of Organization’s products and services
· General knowledge of financial software, core banking applications, payment solutions technology including systems, applications and banking practices
· Requires expert negotiation and communication skills, both written and verbal
· Requires strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
· Analytical skills are required to determine client business needs and requirements
· Ability to remain calm under various levels of pressure
· Ability to show established track record of involvement in BFSI industry trade groups and regional events
· Requires the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of management (internally/externally), employees, clients and public
· Excellent people management skills
