Job Description of PCB Design Engineer

Job Description- Responsible for PCB design

Qualification: B.E/M.E/B.tech/M.tech/Diploma (Electronics, Electrical, ENTC, Instrumentation), BSC/MSC. (Electronics)

Skills: Creativity, Team work, Communication skill                        -

Competencies:  

·       Develop multilayer PCB layouts, perform component placements and determine wire routings.

·       Verify existing designs and recommend improvements.

·        Prepare design documentations, requirements specifications and PCB models.

·        Determine layer Stackup, perform component Selection and routing

·        Performing to schedules and ensuring timelines are met

Knowledge of PCB Design Standard IPC2221A, IPC2152, UL 60950

·        Hands-on /Knowledge of tools which are used for design /drawing. (Like PROTEL, ORCAD, CADENCE etc).

·         Error free Design layout

·        Capable of understanding Data sheet and make foot print.

·        Understand mechanical drawing. (Size of the PCB, Holes, slots, cuts, connector side on PCB etc.) which is given by customer / engineer.

Responsibilities-

1.   Design PCB According to mechanical drawing of Enclosure provided – with correct measurement of Holes, slots, cuts, connector side & size of the PCB

2.  Make documents for project. a) Schematic b) Artwork c) Film d) Drill details e) Ident f) Gerber g) bill of material
