Key Responsibilities:

1- Teaching and Instruction:

  • Deliver Lessons: Prepare and deliver engaging, informative lessons based on the curriculum guidelines and educational standards for the subject.
  • Subject Expertise: Demonstrate a deep understanding of the subject matter being taught (e.g., math, science, language arts, history).
  • Classroom Management: Create a positive and disciplined classroom environment, maintaining order and fostering a respectful and inclusive atmosphere.
  • Assess Student Progress: Evaluate and assess students' academic performance through tests, quizzes, assignments, projects, and other assessments.

2- Curriculum Planning and Development:

  • Plan Lessons: Develop detailed lesson plans and unit plans that are aligned with the curriculum, ensuring that educational objectives are met.
  • Review and Update Curriculum: Collaborate with colleagues to ensure the curriculum remains relevant, up-to-date, and meets educational standards.
  • Use Technology: Incorporate digital tools, online resources, and educational software to enhance learning experiences and engagement.

3- Student Support and Development:

  • Mentoring and Guidance: Provide emotional, academic, and social support to students, serving as a role model and a trusted adult in their lives.
  • Identify Special Needs: Recognize students with special educational needs and provide the necessary accommodations, working with special education staff when required.
  • Encourage Student Participation: Foster an environment that encourages student involvement, critical thinking, and problem-solving.

4- Communication and Collaboration:

  • Parent and Guardian Interaction: Maintain communication with students' parents or guardians through meetings, phone calls, emails, and conferences, providing updates on student progress and behavior.
  • Collaborate with Colleagues: Work with other teachers, staff members, and school leadership to plan and implement school-wide initiatives, events, and improvements.

5- Administrative Duties:

  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of students' attendance, grades, and assessments.
  • Report Writing: Prepare progress reports and reports for meetings with school leaders, parents, and regulatory bodies.
  • Supervision: Supervise students during non-classroom times, such as recess, lunch, or field trips.

6- Extracurricular Activities:

  • Engagement in School Activities: Participate in extracurricular activities like clubs, sports, and school events to promote school spirit and student development.


Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: A degree in education or in a specific subject area, with certification or licensure as required by the region or school.
  • Teaching Credentials: Valid teaching certification/license as required by the local education authority.
  • Experience: Previous teaching experience is often preferred but may not be required for entry-level positions.

  • Strong communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Organizational and time-management skills
  • Patience and adaptability
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Classroom management and conflict resolution skills.


Working Conditions:
