Job Title: Housekeeping Associate

Location: Machan Resorts LLP, Lonavala

Department: Housekeeping

Reporting To: Executive Housekeeper / Housekeeping Supervisor


Job Summary:

The Housekeeping Associate is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, hygiene, and aesthetic upkeep of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces. This role ensures that the resort's high standards of cleanliness and presentation are met consistently, enhancing guest satisfaction and overall experience.


Key Responsibilities:

Guest Room Maintenance:

  • Clean and service guest rooms, including changing linens, making beds, dusting, and vacuuming.
  • Restock room supplies, such as toiletries, towels, and beverages.
  • Report any maintenance issues or damages to the supervisor.

Public Area Cleaning:

  • Maintain cleanliness in public areas, including lobbies, corridors, and restrooms.
  • Ensure that all areas are presentable and free of hazards.

Laundry Services:

  • Collect, sort, and deliver guest laundry or linen as required.
  • Ensure proper handling of guest clothing and resort linens.

Inventory Management:

  • Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies and equipment as needed.
  • Report low inventory levels to the supervisor for restocking.

Compliance with Standards:

  • Follow resort policies and standards for cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Adhere to safety protocols when using cleaning chemicals and equipment.

Guest Interaction:

  • Respond to guest requests for extra amenities or room services promptly and courteously.
  • Maintain a professional and friendly demeanor during guest interactions.

Team Collaboration:

  • Work closely with other housekeeping staff and supervisors to ensure smooth operations.
  • Assist in deep cleaning tasks or special projects as assigned.

Lost and Found:

  • Handle lost and found items according to resort policies and procedures.


Skills and Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience: Prior experience in housekeeping or a similar role in the hospitality industry is an advantage (open to freshers with a willingness to learn).
  • Skills:
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and techniques is a plus.
  • Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift and move heavy items (e.g., cleaning equipment, furniture).
  • Ability to stand, bend, and work for extended periods.
