Job Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Primary Mathematics Lead Teacher to join our team at Teacher Pool. As the Primary Mathematics Lead Teacher, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive mathematics curriculum for our primary level students. This is a full-time position based in Bangalore, Karnataka, India, and is suitable for candidates with 7 to 10 years of experience in teaching mathematics at the primary level.

Qualifications and Skills

• Postgraduate degree in Mathematics Education is preferred
• Proven experience in teaching primary mathematics, preferably in an international curriculum (CAIE) school
• In-depth knowledge of the CAIE curriculum for Mathematics and the ability to align instructional strategies with curriculum requirements
• Strong leadership skills to guide and support other primary mathematics teachers
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Passion for teaching and the ability to inspire students to develop a love for mathematics
• Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
• Proficiency in using technology for instructional purposes
• Strong organizational and time management skills

Roles and Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive mathematics curriculum for primary-level students
• Create engaging lesson plans and instructional materials to promote student learning and understanding of mathematical concepts
• Deliver high-quality instruction for both theoretical and practical aspects of mathematics
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to enhance their learning experience
• Collaborate with other teachers and staff to develop interdisciplinary activities and projects
• Supervise and support other primary mathematics teachers
• Stay updated with the latest teaching methodologies and instructional techniques in mathematics education
• Participate in departmental meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and professional development workshops
• Maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students
• Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress and performance
