Job Description:
As a Technical Support Engineer, you will be a crucial part of our customer success team, providing top-tier technical support and solutions to our clients. You will work directly in a technical customer-facing position, acting as the interface between our clients and internal teams, ensuring seamless communication and problem resolution. Your role will involve understanding complex technical environments, quickly grasping customer queries, and providing confident, accurate responses.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support for a variety of transactional databases and cloud platforms, including OLTP, SQL (Postgres, PostgreSQL, AlloyDB, Cosmos DB, SQL Server, etc.), and NoSQL databases (elasticsearch, MongoDB, Redis, Cassandra, Couchbase, etc.).
- Serve as the primary technical contact for customers, managing and resolving support requests while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams (engineering, product management) to escalate and resolve complex issues.
- Understand and explain the role of APIs within enterprise organizations and how they integrate with various cloud and database technologies.
- Develop deep expertise in container-based technology stacks, including Linux, Docker, SaaS, and databases.
- Proactively identify potential technical issues and work to prevent them.
Must-Have Qualifications:
- 3+ years of technical support experience in a customer-facing role.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly and confidently.
- Experience working directly with customers to understand their issues and provide effective solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to pick up new technologies quickly and adapt to changing technical environments.
- Experience with container-based technology stacks, including Linux, Docker, and SaaS.
- Knowledge of transactional and NoSQL databases.
Should-Have Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience with one or more major cloud infrastructure providers (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Experience working with Kubernetes and managing container orchestration.
- Familiarity with auxiliary technologies such as APM, CI/CD, and monitoring/observability platforms like Datadog, New Relic, Splunk, etc.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Could-Have Qualifications:
- Prior experience working with a startup environment.
- Experience as an API author platform engineer in a large environment.
