Role Overview
As a Senior SDET (SDET-3), you will be a critical part of our engineering team, driving excellence in test automation, quality strategies, and release processes. Your expertise in building reliable, scalable, and maintainable test automation frameworks will ensure the highest product quality for our users. You will lead automation testing efforts for complex web applications, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and mentor junior engineers to build a culture of quality and innovation.

What You’ll Do
1. Test Automation Development
- Architect, develop, and maintain robust, scalable test automation frameworks for web applications using Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress.
- Develop clean, maintainable, and reusable automated scripts to cover functional, regression, and end-to-end testing.
- Implement efficient automation practices aligned with industry standards and best practices.
- Drive API automation testing using tools like RestAssured, Postman, or Karate for comprehensive back-end validation.
2. CI/CD Integration & Release Optimization
- Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines for continuous feedback using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, or Azure DevOps.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to manage, maintain, and optimize test environments.
- Ensure shift-left testing practices by automating early validation stages within the SDLC.
3. Performance, Load, and Scalability Testing
- Perform performance testing with tools like JMeter, Gatling, or k6 to identify bottlenecks and ensure reliability under high user load.
- Collaborate with development teams to resolve issues impacting scalability and performance.
4. Quality Leadership & Mentorship
- Define and execute comprehensive test strategies, plans, and processes aligned with Agile methodologies.
- Work closely with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to ensure test coverage across all scenarios.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior SDETs and QA engineers, driving a culture of ownership, quality, and learning.
- Champion best practices in test automation, code quality, and continuous improvement.
5. Bug Identification, Analysis, and Documentation
- Conduct thorough root cause analysis for defects and collaborate with developers to ensure timely fixes.
- Maintain clear and concise test documentation, including test plans, test cases, automation scripts, and bug reports.
- Continuously analyze test results and provide insights for process improvement.
Must-Have Skills
- 5+ years of strong experience in Automation Testing with a focus on Web/Mobile Applications.
- Hands-on experience with Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar automation tools.
- Strong proficiency in designing test frameworks with languages like Java, Python, or JavaScript.
- Expertise in API testing using tools like RestAssured, Postman, or Karate.
- Deep understanding of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.
- Solid experience in performance testing with tools like JMeter or LoadRunner.
- In-depth knowledge of Agile methodologies, SDLC, and test-driven development (TDD) practices.
- Proven leadership experience mentoring teams and driving quality initiatives.
- Excellent analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and collaboration abilities.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with microservices testing and containerized environments (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Exposure to cloud-based environments such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Experience in security testing tools and practices.
- Knowledge of BDD frameworks like Cucumber or SpecFlow for behavior-driven development.
- Ability to analyze application logs for debugging and validation purposes.
