Job Title: Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET 3)

 Role Overview

As an SDET 3, you will drive the quality and test automation strategies for our digital products. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, product managers, and QA, to design and implement robust testing solutions that enhance the end-user experience. You’ll also play a key role in mentoring and guiding the team, shaping the quality culture within the organization.


 Key Responsibilities

- Test Automation Development: Design, develop, and execute test automation frameworks and scripts to ensure the reliability, scalability, and functionality of our digital products.

- Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with development, product, and QA teams to define testing strategies and ensure comprehensive test coverage across all stages of the development lifecycle.

- CI/CD Integration: Develop and manage continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to streamline testing processes and improve deployment efficiency.

- Performance & Load Testing: Conduct performance, load, and stress testing to optimize application performance and ensure high-quality user experience.

- Mentorship & Leadership: Mentor junior SDETs and promote best practices within the team, contributing to a collaborative and high-performance environment.

 

 Required Qualifications


- Experience: 5+ years in software testing and test automation, preferably within a product-based company.

 

- Technical Skills:

 - Strong hands-on experience with test automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium, Appium, JUnit, and TestNG.

 - Proficiency in CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, and CircleCI to automate deployment and testing workflows.

 - Familiarity with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner) and ability to analyze results to ensure application scalability and stability.

 - Solid understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), especially in Agile environments, to align testing processes with development workflows.


- Problem-Solving Abilities: Demonstrated analytical skills and ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues efficiently.

- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical information to stakeholders at various levels of the organization.

- Leadership & Team Collaboration: Proven track record of mentoring and guiding other team members, fostering a collaborative work culture, and driving improvements in testing processes and methodologies.


 Preferred Qualifications

- Security Testing: Familiarity with security testing practices and tools, with the ability to incorporate security measures into testing processes.

- API & Microservices Testing: Experience in testing APIs and microservices, with knowledge of tools such as Postman or RestAssured.
