**Job Title: Senior Data Scientist**

**Position Overview:**

As a Senior Data Scientist at San Francisco-based startup, you will play a key role in driving our data-driven initiatives and leveraging advanced analytics to solve complex problems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and deploy machine learning models, analyze large datasets, and extract actionable insights to drive strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data science, machine learning, and programming, along with excellent problem-solving skills and a passion for innovation.

**Responsibilities:**

- Lead the design, development, and implementation of advanced machine learning models and algorithms to address complex business challenges and drive strategic initiatives.

- Analyze large, complex datasets to identify patterns, trends, and insights that can inform decision-making and drive operational efficiencies.

- Collaborate with stakeholders to define project requirements, gather data, and develop scalable solutions that meet business objectives.

- Design and implement data pipelines and workflows to automate data collection, processing, and analysis tasks.

- Conduct exploratory data analysis, feature engineering, and model validation to ensure the accuracy and reliability of machine learning models.

- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in data science, machine learning, and AI technologies, and leverage emerging tools and techniques to enhance predictive modeling capabilities.

- Communicate findings and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner, and present insights through reports, dashboards, and presentations.

- Mentor junior data scientists and provide guidance on best practices, coding standards, and model development techniques.

**Requirements:**

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field from a top college or university. Master's degree or MBA preferred.

- 3-5 years of professional experience in data science, machine learning, or a related field, with a minimum of 2 year of hands-on experience.

- Strong proficiency in Python programming language and SQL, with experience in object-oriented programming and developing production-level code.

- Expertise in machine learning libraries such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch, and proficiency in building and deploying machine learning models.

- Knowledge of statistics, machine learning algorithms, artificial intelligence, and natural language processing (NLP) techniques.

- Familiarity with version control systems such as Git, continuous integration (CI) tools, and cloud computing platforms such as AWS.

- Experience working with big data technologies such as Apache Spark and building data pipelines for data ingestion, processing, and transformation.
