About the Role:


We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager - HR Payroll Management to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing payroll for engineering and product teams within product or eCommerce companies. This role demands expertise in payroll processing, compliance, and employee data management, ensuring seamless operations for our internal employees.


Key Responsibilities:


Payroll Management:

  • Oversee end-to-end payroll processes for engineering and product employees, ensuring accuracy and timely disbursement.
  • Manage employee data for payroll processing, reimbursements, leaves, attendance, and full and final settlements.
  • Design and implement effective salary structures to optimize tax benefits.

Compliance Management:

  • Ensure compliance with state and national labor laws, EPF, ESI, gratuity, LWF, professional tax, and other statutory requirements.
  • Stay updated on labor law revisions and implement necessary adjustments.
  • Conduct audits to ensure payroll accuracy and compliance.

HR Policies & Automation:

  • Formulate and implement HR policies related to payroll and employee benefits.
  • Drive HR automation initiatives, ensuring seamless integration of payroll and HRMS systems.
  • Develop dashboards and analytics to track payroll metrics and compliance performance.

Employee Relations:

  • Address payroll-related queries and grievances from employees with prompt resolutions.
  • Act as the primary contact for medical insurance and benefits claims.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

  • Partner with cross-functional teams including Finance, Legal, and HRBP to ensure payroll accuracy and compliance.
  • Collaborate with vendors managing third-party payroll for contractors or temporary employees.


Qualifications & Skills:


  • Education: MBA/PGDM in HR, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience: 8-12 years of experience in payroll management within a product or eCommerce company.
  • Proficiency in HRMS tools and payroll management software.
  • Strong knowledge of statutory compliance and labor laws.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • Prior experience managing payroll for tech and product teams is highly preferred.


Preferred Qualities:

  • Experience in automating payroll processes or implementing HRMS solutions.
  • Proven ability to handle payroll for large-scale organizations with diverse workforce categories.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a proactive approach to process improvements.
