Engineering Manager - Online Gaming Platform

About the Role:

As an Engineering Manager, you will lead the development and delivery of high-quality software products that define our gaming platform’s future. You will be at the helm of a talented engineering team, driving best practices and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of engineers to deliver high-quality software solutions.

- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and stakeholders to define project requirements and deliverables.

- Ensure the successful execution of development projects within established timelines and budgets.

- Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of software applications and systems.

- Implement and promote best practices in software development, including code reviews, testing, and continuous integration.

- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies, integrating them into our development processes.

- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the engineering team.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

- Proven experience as an Engineering Manager or in a similar role in software development.

- Strong technical background with hands-on experience in:

 - JSON Schema

 - Open API (Swagger)

 - Figma

 - JavaScript and TypeScript

 - Git

 - Node.js

 - Bash/Shell - POSIX CLI (Command Line Interface)

 - React or React Native

 - MobX State Tree (or equivalent state management libraries such as Redux)

 - NextJS

 - HTML, CSS, and SCSS

 - Bootstrap (or equivalent CSS frameworks)

- Excellent understanding of software development methodologies, tools, and processes.

- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively.

- Excellent communication and leadership skills.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

- Experience with cloud platforms and services (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience in the gaming industry or with game development.

- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
