Role Summary: As a Principal Software Engineer - Cloud Infrastructure, you will lead and grow our core cloud infrastructure team based in India. This team will play a crucial role in the lifecycle of our machine learning infrastructure and applications, from development to deployment and scaling, ensuring they are robust, scalable, secure, and efficient. They will partner with the Product and Research teams in India and the US.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and help build the Cloud Infrastructure team in India, fostering growth and innovation.
- Ensure development and evolution of multi cloud architecture.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products that leverage our core AI technologies.
- Champion scalability and high performance, optimizing latency, operation cost and observability.
- Mentor team members, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Implement robust security practices and ensure data integrity throughout the platform.

Qualifications:
- BS (or higher) in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years of experience in software development, as well as experience developing and operating large-scale systems in production.
- Proficiency in programming (Python, Java, Rust, C++ or similar)
- Exceptional problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Excellent communication skills with experience shipping products and working with cross-functional teams.
- Experience with microservices architecture
- Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure) and containers (Kubernetes or related).
- Experience in building and operating multi-tenant SaaS services Preferred Experience:
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Puppet)
- Basic understanding of machine learning model lifecycle management, from development to deployment, CI/CD pipelines, and scaling.
- Practical experience in working with GPU infrastructure in the cloud
- Experience obtaining and maintaining SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR, etc.
