Job Description: Recruitment Head – Power Plant Sector

Location: Ahmedabad

Role Overview

Our client is looking for an experienced Recruitment Head to lead and manage the talent acquisition function for their power plant operations. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of the power plant sector and have a proven ability to attract, hire, and retain top talent across all levels, ensuring their workforce aligns with their operational and strategic goals.

 

Key Responsibilities

  1. Strategic Recruitment Planning:
  • Develop and execute recruitment strategies tailored to the unique needs of the power plant sector.
  • Collaborate with department heads to forecast manpower requirements and ensure timely hiring.
  1. Team Leadership and Development:
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of recruitment professionals to achieve hiring objectives.
  • Build a high-performing recruitment team capable of handling high-volume and niche hiring.
  1. End-to-End Recruitment Management:
  • Oversee the entire recruitment lifecycle, including sourcing, screening, selection, offer negotiation, and onboarding.
  • Manage recruitment for critical positions, including technical, operational, and leadership roles.
  1. Sourcing Strategies:
  • Leverage industry-specific job boards, social media, recruitment agencies, and networking to source candidates.
  • Build and maintain talent pipelines for future workforce needs.
  1. Industry Expertise:
  • Stay updated on trends in the power plant sector, including talent availability, skill shortages, and market dynamics.
  • Network within the industry to enhance sourcing capabilities and identify top talent.
  1. Employer Branding:
  • Enhance the organization’s employer brand to attract high-quality candidates.
  • Represent the company at job fairs, campus recruitment drives, and industry events.
  1. Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on recruitment strategies and market insights.
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand job requirements and provide recruitment support.

 

Key Skills & Qualifications

  • Educational Background:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • MBA or Master’s degree in HR is preferred.
  • Experience:
  • 10–15 years of experience in talent acquisition, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Experience in hiring for technical and operational roles in the power plant sector is essential.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Familiarity with technical roles such as plant engineers, operations managers, and safety officers.
  • Soft Skills:
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
  • Additional Skills:
  • Ability to manage high-volume and niche recruitment simultaneously.
  • Strong networking and relationship-building abilities
