We are looking for a Sourcing/Procurement Head for an e-commerce company in field of baby products for Ahmedabad location.

The E-Commerce Sourcing Manager is responsible for the profitable procurement and timely delivery of products for the Company’s e-commerce site. Works closely with the E-Commerce Sales, Marketing and Operations Team to achieve the goals of the company. Provides supply chain/inventory management for a promotionally active merchandise mix and corresponding financial accountabilities. Procures products in accordance with all policies and procedures established by the company.

Responsibilities:

·       Prepare risk management for supply contracts and agreements.

·       Set, track, and maintain budget

·       Develop sourcing plans, allocate resources, identify potential issues/threats and develop contingency plans.

·       Handling of 4-5 Procurement executives & team management.

·       Sourcing and development of new brands/vendors and retain existing brands/ vendors.

·       Research skills to discover profitable suppliers; work with vendors to secure advantageous terms

·       Provide market information to Marketing and Merchandizing teams in identifying right products, new product line and categories.

·       Work with Merchandizing & Marketing team to discuss and finalize on seasonal product line / categories.

·       Pro-actively manage the re-ordering of products on time and ensure the products promoted are available with vendors.

·       Work closely with inventory management and merchandising team on reordering of fast moving products, returning non-moving products, etc.

·       Initiate business and cultivate partnerships

·       Oversees supply needs, approve the ordering of necessary goods and services

·       Manage workflow from initiation to completion (of both purchased orders and deliveries

·       Conduct supplier analysis and evaluate potential vendors based on quality of products, best possible price, volume of discounts and delivery standards.

·       Evaluate supplier core competencies.

·       Identify ways to reduce costs and devise plan of action that are focused on creating greater efficiencies, economies of scale and better quality products.

·       Develop a negotiation strategy that shall impact the pricing, and delivery timeline.

·       Establish relationships with suppliers to achieve sustainable business advantage.

·       Implement supplier agreements/contracts by working with cross-functional stakeholders and suppliers to reach agreement on contract terms and conditions.

·       Renegotiate, renew and discontinue supplier contracts.

Qualifications:

·       Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration or similar.

·       Successful work experience as a Sourcing Manager, Procurement Head, or another relevant role in the e-commerce industry.

·       Applicants should have prior experience in the e–commerce industry and must have 8+ years working experience of handling domestic & international (mainly from China) sourcing

·       He has to travel internationally for sourcing related tasks.

·       Strong working knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques as well as an aptitude for reading the market.

·       Significant experience in collecting and analyzing data.

·       Understanding of procurement, logistics and inventory management practices.

·       Excellent analytical and problem solving skills, experience in taking initiative and making appropriate decisions.

·       Planning and organizing skills.

·       Written and verbal communication skills as well as interpersonal skills to develop and maintain effective business relationships within and outside the company.

·       MS Office, Advance Excel abilities.
