Position: Civil Design Manager

Total Experience: 10-12 years of relevant experience (preferred in Water treatment Industry)

Education: B.E. Civil

Location: Pune

CTC: 8 to 10 Lacs

Primary Job Responsibilities, but not limited to the following:

• Lead Civil Engineering Design Team: Manage the civil engineering design team, overseeing all phases from concept to execution.
• Pre-Bid Coordination: Work with Applications team to define and assess the civil works scope in the pre-bid phase.
• Design Development: Create preliminary and detailed civil designs, ensuring compliance with standards and cost estimation (BOQs).
• Tender Specifications: Prepare civil works specifications, resolve queries, and close Technical Observations (TOs).
• Cost Estimation & Subcontractor Coordination: Finalize cost estimates and collaborate with subcontractors to determine competitive unit rates for civil works.
• Design Supervision & Documentation: Oversee the design process, ensuring timely submission and approval of documents from clients.
• Performance Monitoring: Monitor progress of civil works on-site, ensuring on-time delivery and quality compliance.
• Site Evaluation & Layout Coordination: Evaluate site conditions and coordinate plant layout with the Applications team.
• Subcontractor Negotiation: Lead negotiations with subcontractors, ensuring cost efficiency and quality compliance.
• Claims & Change Management: Manage additional work and claims, ensuring effective communication with clients and subcontractors.
• Site Visits & Progress Monitoring: Conduct site visits to ensure civil works align with design and schedule.
• Subcontractor Network Development: Build and maintain a network of regional subcontractors for efficient project execution.
• Design Repository Management: Maintain a standardized civil design repository for easy access and cost optimization.
• Client Liaison & Leadership: Lead client discussions on civil design aspects, ensuring all requirements are met.
• Design Optimization: Drive continuous improvement by incorporating new design methods and technologies to enhance efficiency.
• Team Mentorship: Mentor and develop junior engineers, fostering skill growth and knowledge sharing.
