Job Overview

We are seeking a Senior Liferay Developer for our Ahmedabad location. This is a full-time position where the candidate should bring a minimum of 5 years of experience in Liferay Portal Development. The ideal candidate will contribute to the development, integration, and deployment of enterprise-grade solutions, while collaborating closely with business and technical teams to facilitate digital transformation.

Qualifications and Skills

• Proven experience in Liferay Portal Development is mandatory, showcasing the ability to develop, configure, and deploy solutions on the Liferay platform efficiently.
• Strong proficiency in Java (Mandatory skill) to design, develop, test, and maintain scalable applications across various projects.
• Expertise in Web Services (Mandatory skill) and familiar with protocols such as RESTful and SOAP for effective backend services integration.
• Proficient in JavaScript with the ability to develop interactive, user-friendly web interfaces and refine front-end functionalities.
• Solid understanding of Portlet Development involving the implementation of custom and pre-built portlets within the Liferay framework.
• Experience in Theme Development to customize and enhance the visual interface of applications, improving user engagement.
• Competence in Database Management, including skills in SQL and traditional relational databases, ensuring robust data solutions.
• Ability to participate in UI/UX Design processes and contribute with design ideas to enhance the user experience on web platforms.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Participate in the complete software development lifecycle including requirements analysis, design, coding, testing, and deployment.
• Collaborate with other developers and cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.
• Develop, customize, and optimize Liferay-based portals, ensuring high-performance and user-friendly interfaces.
• Conduct code reviews and technical documentation, promoting best practices and standards for team excellence.
• Implement and maintain web services to support integration efforts with external systems and applications.
• Provide technical insights and recommendations for system enhancements and innovative solutions to client needs.
• Engage in troubleshooting activities and perform root-cause analysis to address system issues effectively and efficiently.
• Keep up-to-date with Liferay platform updates and advancements, applying the latest features and improvements.
