We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Purchase Officer to join our team at Sunlight Group in Chennai. This is a full-time, mid-level position requiring 4 to 6 years of experience. Qualifications and Skills
- Proven experience in supply chain management, showcasing your ability to optimize the flow of products and information across our supply chain efficiently.
- Expertise in contract management to ensure compliance with terms, resolve issues, and maintain strong relationships with vendors.
- Strong negotiation skills (Mandatory skill) to secure favorable terms and conditions with suppliers, resulting in cost-effective procurement.
- Proficient vendor management skills (Mandatory skill) for selecting, nurturing, and evaluating vendor partnerships to enhance quality and deliverability.
- Advanced cost analysis skills (Mandatory skill) to evaluate expenses and identify areas for financial efficiency in purchasing activities.
- Skilled in conducting market research to identify trends, pricing, and availability to make informed purchasing decisions.
- Capability in inventory management to maintain optimal stock levels, reduce excess inventory, and support production needs.
- Experience with financial analysis to assess budgets, cost structures, and make strategic decisions aligning with financial goals.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end procurement processes to ensure timely and cost-effective purchasing of materials.
- Conduct negotiations with vendors to secure favorable terms, pricing, and delivery schedules.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to facilitate effective communication and collaboration.
- Analyze market trends to identify potential new suppliers and cost-saving opportunities.
- Manage contracts and agreements, ensuring adherence to company policies and legal requirements.
- Work closely with the finance department to manage budgets and optimize purchasing expenditures.
- Coordinate inventory levels and procurement activities to support production and minimize depletion risk.
- Regularly review purchasing processes and suggest improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
