We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Executive to join our finance team in the real estate sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance, particularly within the real estate industry, and will be responsible for managing financial transactions, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Financial Transactions Management:
  • Handle day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
  • Process invoices, payments, and receipts accurately and timely.
  • Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping of all financial transactions.
  1. Financial Reporting:
  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and reports, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Conduct variance analysis and provide insights on financial performance.
  1. Budgeting and Forecasting:
  • Assist in the development and monitoring of budgets and forecasts.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
  1. Compliance and Audit:
  • Ensure compliance with accounting principles, company policies, and relevant regulations.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and information.
  • Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accuracy of financial records.
  1. Taxation and Regulatory Filings:
  • Prepare and file tax returns and other regulatory filings in a timely manner.
  • Stay updated with changes in tax laws and regulations affecting the real estate industry.
  1. Stakeholder Communication:
  • Liaise with internal departments, external auditors, and regulatory authorities as needed.
  • Provide financial information and support to management for decision-making.
  1. System and Process Improvement:
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in accounting and financial reporting.
  • Assist in the implementation and maintenance of accounting software and systems.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or relevant certification is a plus.
  • 3-5 years of accounting experience in the real estate industry.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Yardi) and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Attributes:

  • Experience with real estate transactions and property management accounting.
  • Familiarity with lease accounting and revenue recognition in real estate.
  • Knowledge of real estate industry-specific regulations and compliance requirements.
