Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Senior GST Manager to oversee all aspects of Goods and Services Tax (GST) compliance and litigation within our organization. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in GST regulations, compliance requirements, and litigation procedures. They will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely GST filings, resolving any GST-related issues or disputes, and providing strategic guidance to minimize tax liabilities while ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.

Responsibilities:

1. GST Compliance:

• Oversee and manage all aspects of GST compliance, including registration, filing returns, payment of taxes, and reconciliation of GST accounts.
• Ensure timely and accurate preparation and submission of GST returns in compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Monitor changes in GST laws and regulations and implement necessary updates to ensure compliance.

1. Litigation Management:

• Handle all GST-related litigations, including assessments, appeals, and disputes with tax authorities.
• Liaise with external legal counsel as needed to represent the company in GST-related legal proceedings.
• Develop and implement strategies to effectively resolve GST disputes and minimize tax liabilities.

1. Risk Management:

• Identify and assess potential GST-related risks and develop strategies to mitigate these risks.
• Conduct regular reviews and audits of GST processes to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.

1. Internal Stakeholder Management:

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including finance, accounting, legal, and other departments, to ensure GST compliance across the organization.
• Provide training and guidance to internal teams on GST matters and compliance requirements.

1. External Relationships:

• Build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including tax authorities, auditors, and legal counsel, to facilitate effective communication and resolution of GST-related issues.
