Job Purpose

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the procurement process, including purchase order processing, stock overview, vendor management, stock transfer management, and inventory management. Proficiency in SAP S4 HANA is essential.

Sturlite is a Bangalore based electrical products company founded in 2009 with a vision to provide best in class electrical products to consumers. It is one of the fastest growing companies in this category and deals primarily in lighting (bulbs, LEDs, interior/exterior lighting etc.) and wiring, and it is now entering the category of switches, MCBs, etc. In future Sturlite would also want to enter small electrical appliances like fans, geysers, kitchen appliances etc.

It is a rapidly growing company with 2X annual business growth, having established itself in South & West India markets in the last few years, the company is aiming at a pan India presence by this year end and aiming to be one of the major players in the category within the next 3 years.

Major Accountabilities

• Manage the purchase order process, ensuring accurate and timely creation, approval, and delivery of purchase orders.
• Maintain an up-to-date stock overview to ensure optimal inventory levels and prevent stockouts or overstock situations.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors, including negotiation of terms, conditions, and pricing.
• Oversee stock transfer management, ensuring efficient and accurate transfer of stock between locations.
• Utilize SAP S4 HANA to manage procurement processes, inventory, and vendor data.
• Analyse and report on procurement metrics to identify opportunities for improvement and cost savings.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless procurement processes and support company objectives.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to continuously improve procurement processes.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in a procurement role, with a strong understanding of the purchase order process, stock overview, vendor management, stock transfer management, and inventory management.
• Proficiency in SAP S4 HANA is required.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
