Role Overview:
This multifaceted role requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual who can seamlessly manage financial operations, human resources, and business development initiatives. You will be a key player in ensuring the smooth running of our studio, contributing to our financial stability, fostering a positive work environment, and driving business growth.
Responsibilities:
Financial Management:
- Oversee and manage all company expenses and payments, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Coordinate closely with the chartered accountant and their team for:
- Financial reporting (e.g., profit and loss statements, balance sheets).
- Tax compliance and filings.
- Annual audits and financial reviews.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all financial transactions using accounting software.
- Manage payroll processing, including calculating wages, deductions, and tax withholdings.
- Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
- Monitor cash flow and ensure adequate funds are available for operations.
Human Resources:
- Manage the full recruitment cycle, including:
- Sourcing candidates through various channels.
- Conducting initial screenings and interviews.
- Coordinating with hiring managers.
- Onboarding new employees and ensuring a smooth transition.
- Administer employee salaries, benefits, and other HR-related matters.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records, ensuring compliance with labor laws and company policies.
- Handle employee relations, including addressing employee concerns and resolving conflicts.
- Manage employee performance reviews and development plans.
Business Development:
- Proactively engage with leads generated from social media advertising and other marketing efforts.
- Conduct business calls to pitch company services and secure new clients.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with potential and existing clients.
- Prepare and present proposals and presentations to prospective clients.
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions and sales activities.
- Track and report on business development metrics.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field.
- Proven experience in financial management, human resources, and business development, preferably in a creative industry.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Experience with payroll processing and HR administration.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in accounting software and CRM systems.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Knowledge of labour laws.
- A proactive and results-oriented approach.
