Job Overview

We are currently seeking a Mid-Level Aircraft Interior Technician for a contract-to-hire position in East Alton, Perryville, Grand Junction. In this role, candidates will primarily focus on modifications, refurbishment, and reinstallation of aircraft interiors. This job requires hands-on experience and expertise in various technical aspects of interior installations.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

Education:     High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience:    3 - 5 years’ experience on aircraft upholstery.

                 Knowledge of materials and foams used in aviation.

                Knowledge of repairs and techniques used on various seat styles.

                1 - 2 years heavy modifications preferred.

Initiative:       Self-motivated and able to maintain a rapid pace.

               Able to process work with minimal supervision.

                Written and verbal communication skills.

Qualifications and Skills

• Modifications to seats
• Expertise in upholstery refurbishment techniques for high-quality, durable results
• Familiarity with various seat styles typical in commercial and private aircraft
• Proficiency in disassembly and assembly of seating and other interior elements
• Experience in foam work including cutting, shaping, and fitting for customized interiors
• Skilled in sewing techniques required for interior refurbishments and repairs
• Competence in the installation of dress covers to ensure a polished finish
• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high safety and quality standards

Roles and Responsibilities

• Perform detailed installations, modifications, and refurbishments of aircraft interiors
• Disassemble and reassemble aircraft seats and other cabin components as needed
• Conduct foam work for cushioning and support elements to ensure passenger comfort
• Sew and install dress covers, ensuring a high standard of craftsmanship
• Collaborate with other technicians to complete projects efficiently and to specifications
• Adhere to safety regulations and quality management standards at all times
• Maintain and utilize specialized tools and equipment effectively
• Document all work performed, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records
