Job Overview

We are seeking a qualified Purchase Engineer to join our team at Strategi Automation Solutions Pvt. Ltd. As a Purchase Engineer, you will be responsible for sourcing and procuring materials, equipment, and services needed for our projects and operations. You will work closely with our project teams and vendors to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products at competitive prices. This is a full-time position based in Mysuru, Karnataka, India, and is open to candidates with 1 to 3 years of experience.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 1-3 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management in a manufacturing or engineering industry.
• Sound knowledge of procurement processes, including sourcing, evaluation, negotiation, and supplier management.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and proficiency in MS Office applications.
• Knowledge on Sheet metal , Fabrication and Industrial Automation.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and vendors.
• Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to procurement.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Collaborate with project teams to identify material requirements and develop procurement strategies.
• Source, evaluate, and select suppliers based on price, quality, delivery times, and reliability.
• Negotiate favorable terms and conditions with suppliers to optimize costs and minimize risks.
• Prepare and process purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, prices, and delivery dates.
• Assess supplier performance and implement corrective actions as necessary.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve any procurement-related issues or challenges.
• Stay updated with industry trends and market conditions to identify potential cost-saving opportunities.
• Adhere to company policies, procedures, and ethical standards in all procurement activities.
