Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Food Server to join our team at StayBird - Hotels and Apartments in Pune. This is a full-time, junior-level position requiring 1 to 3 years of work experience. The ideal candidate will be a proactive individual with excellent customer service and communication skills, paying close attention to detail.
Qualifications and Skills
- Customer Service (Mandatory skill): Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service and ensure guest satisfaction.
- Attention to Detail (Mandatory skill): Capability to focus on the fine details in order-taking and service delivery.
- Communication Skills (Mandatory skill): Strong verbal communication abilities to effectively interact with guests and team members.
- Food Safety: Knowledge and adherence to food safety and hygiene standards.
- Menu Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the menu, including ingredients and potential allergens.
- Order Taking: Proficient in accurately taking and processing guest orders.
- Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with other staff to ensure a seamless guest experience.
- Time Management: Efficiently manage time to balance multiple tasks and serve guests promptly.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and escort them to their tables.
- Present menus to guests and provide detailed information about menu items when asked.
- Accurately take food and beverage orders and relay them to the kitchen staff promptly.
- Ensure that orders are served in a timely and presentable manner.
- Assist in setting up and clearing tables, ensuring a clean and organized dining area.
- Handle guest inquiries and complaints professionally, escalating issues when necessary.
- Process guest payments and provide receipts accurately.
- Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth service flow.
