The Ward Boy is responsible for providing support and assistance to patients and healthcare staff within a hospital or clinic. This role involves maintaining cleanliness, assisting with patient mobility, and ensuring that the ward operates smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Patient Assistance: Help patients with daily activities such as moving to and from beds, providing comfort items, and assisting with personal hygiene as required.
• Ward Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness and tidiness in patient wards, including changing bed linens, disposing of waste, and cleaning surfaces and floors.
• Inventory Management: Monitor and restock ward supplies, including linens, personal protective equipment (PPE), and other necessary items.
• Assistance to Healthcare Staff: Support nursing and medical staff by delivering patient charts, medications, and other materials as directed.
• Patient Safety: Ensure patient safety by adhering to infection control practices and reporting any hazards or safety concerns immediately.
• Communication: Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to provide updates and address concerns.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of patient assistance provided, supplies used, and any observations that need to be reported to healthcare staff.
